What this dashboard shows

This dashboard displays the real-time availability of the SuperStream Transaction Network (STN). The STN is critical infrastructure that enables the electronic transfer of superannuation data and payments between employers, funds, and the ATO.

The Gateway Network Governance Body (GNGB) monitors STN availability by periodically sending test messages to each gateway and measuring response times.

Understanding the availability percentage

The large percentage at the top of the dashboard shows the current availability of the STN. This is calculated based on the most recent Network Availability Indicator (NAI) measurement.

• 100% means all monitored gateways responded successfully within the expected timeframe
• Less than 100% indicates some gateways did not respond or responded slowly

The coloured status dot provides a quick visual indicator: green means fully operational, red indicates degraded service.

Uptime metrics

The 7-day and 30-day uptime percentages show the weighted average availability over those periods. These metrics help you understand the overall reliability of the network beyond the current moment.

Using the date selector

Use the dropdown to view historical availability data from previous days. The chart will update to show the 30-minute intervals for the selected day.

Each bar in the chart represents a 30-minute period. A fully green bar indicates 100% availability for that period, while bars with red portions show degraded availability.

Days are shown using Sydney time. On daylight saving changeover days, the chart shows the real number of monitored periods for that Sydney day.

The Gateway Network Governance Body (GNGB) is an industry body that supports the superannuation system through good governance of the SuperStream gateway network. GNGB establishes and maintains standards for gateway operators and monitors network health.
